Why do I need 500 lb blocks?
When an event tent is installed on a hard surface like concrete, asphalt, or artificial turf, we cannot drive traditional stakes into the ground. Event tents act like giant sails and require massive amounts of weight to prevent them from lifting in the wind. 500 lb Block and Roll cement blocks provide the heavy, engineered ballasting required to keep your guests safe.
Are the blocks ugly? Can they be covered?
Block and Roll blocks are designed specifically for the event industry and look much neater than standard concrete barriers or water barrels. For formal events like weddings or corporate galas, we offer fitted white vinyl block covers that slip over the cement block for a clean, polished appearance.
Can I move the blocks myself during the event?
No. Each block weighs 500 lbs and requires specialized equipment (like a pallet jack or block mover) to transport. Once our professional installation team places and straps the blocks to your tent, they cannot be moved for safety and liability reasons.
Do you use water barrels instead of concrete?
We strictly use concrete Block and Roll weights for large frame and high peak tents. Water barrels are often insufficient in weight, prone to leaking, visually unappealing, and can shift easily, compromising the structural integrity of the tent installation.
Do you deliver outside Goodyear?
Yes. We deliver our event rentals, tents, and necessary block weights across the West Valley, including Buckeye, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Surprise, Waddell, Verrado, and Phoenix. Due to the extreme weight of the blocks, specific delivery and handling fees will apply.
